Inside Out & Back Again Comprehension Questions (Part II)

Description

This product has higher-order thinking questions for every poem in Part II of the book Inside Out and Back Again. Included is an editable version. There will be questions for every poem in the book in future products.

The higher-order thinking novel study questions are also part of a growing bundle for the book Inside Out and Back Again. This product can be used in many different ways. The goal of the product is to provide the students with higher-order thinking questions about the text. Below are some ideas of how you can implement this product in your classroom.

1. Discussion Questions – The questions can be used to lead a discussion. Have the students complete the questions first, and then have them form a group where they discuss the answers.

2. Homework Questions – The students can read a selection of the text, and then complete the homework questions from Inside Out and Back Again.

3. Do Now – When the students arrive in the room for the day, you can check their understanding of the text by providing them with higher-order thinking questions.

4. Exit Tickets – If you have read and discussed one of the poems from Inside Out and Back Again, have the students complete an exit ticket using the higher-order thinking questions.

5. Speaking Prompts – I plan on using some of the questions as speaking prompts. I will then use a rubric/checklist to assess the students.
